Endgame

We will soon forget our past:

— Ezra Klein featured in overheard in DC.

— The last-minute wrangling in the House.

— What specifically does David Brooks think Obama’s moved too fast on?

— HOPE comes to congress.

— Fox & Friends contemplating second class status for Muslim soldiers, sailors, and airmen.

— “Matthew” is a very popular name.

We’re very committed to bringing you the latest in Nordic rock here, so here’s Finland’s I Walk The Line with “Black Wave”.

More to the point, the major in question is from a Fakestinian family (apparently his brother is a businessman in Jerusalem) although he was born in Virginia and went to VPU. I would not go so far as to target all Muslimes but clearly, people from a Fakestinian background have to be scrutinized more closely.

  2. godoggo Says:

What a loathsome piece of shit you are, SLC.

  3. stras Says:

Pity poor SLC. The universe has pulled a terrible joke on him: stranded here in 2009, when he was born to run a gas chamber in 1944.

  4. Don Williams Says:

OT, but Jon Stewart has done a hilarious parody of Glenn Beck:

    http://tv.yahoo.com/blog/glenn-becks-appendicitis-scare-inspires-jon-stewart-to-artfully-parody-him–763

    Enjoy.

PS Anybody seen Tucker Carlson lately? hee hee

  5. SLC Says:

    Re Don Williams

I’m very disappointed in Mr. Williams. He hasn’t taken the opportunity to blame the Fort Hood incident on Israel or the neocons yet. Must still be in mourning over the Phillies’ World Series debacle.

    Re godoggo & stras

I consider it a great honor to be bad mouthed by two such pieces of filth like Mr. godoggo and Mr. stras.

  6. godoggo Says:

Well, yeah, it does mean something from me. I save it for the most loathsome pieces of shit. God, I love politics.

  7. Greg Says:

Goddammit, SLC, why do you have to bring up the WS? Do you have any idea the shit I’m going to have to take from my Yankee fan friends back home in NY?

I might have to have Game 5 of the 2004 ALCS playing on a continuous loop on a monitor at my front door.

  8. SLC Says:

    Re Greg

I feel for Mr. Greg as a long time Yankee hater myself.

  9. Hector Says:

Re: but clearly, people from a Fakestinian background have to be scrutinized more closely

You have got to be kidding me.

  10. Paul Camp Says:

“What specifically does David Brooks think Obama’s moved too fast on?”

My guess would be “liberal stuff.”

  11. LSC Says:

    re Mrs SLC

Mrs SLC’s afternoon session with her Assad Special Dildo was rudely interrupted when the batteries ran down. She spent the afternoon looking blaming the brown person at the drug store who sold her that jumbo pack of AAs.

  12. fostert Says:

“Goddammit, SLC, why do you have to bring up the WS? Do you have any idea the shit I’m going to have to take from my Yankee fan friends back home in NY?”

Well, SLC really didn’t hurt you there. The amount you will receive will fall into the “Most Shit That Can Be Given” category, anyway. New Yorkers aren’t going to let you off easy, and they aren’t going to forget. And if there’s an opportunity to talk shit, they’re talking it. Just like if they had a chance to cut in front of you on the Cross Bronx Expressway just when you’re trying to cut some else off.

  13. SLC Says:

    Re LSC

Mr. LSC being the fucktard shithead that he is just has to be politically incorrect. It’s Ms. fuckface, not Mrs.

  14. SLC Says:

    Re Hector

    I wouldn’t kid a kidder.

  15. Greg Says:

fostert, mate, might I point out that I say this with the deepest respect as a Mets fan,

    Go fuck yourself

    ;)

Eh, whatever, congratulations. At least A-Rod can’t be called a fucking choker anymore. I cannot not *stand* how WFAN especially has treated him over the last five years.

He’s the best fucking playing baseball for fuck’s sake!

  16. Greg Says:

Err, “player playing baseball” that it is.

  17. Greg Says:

Also, as a Chelsea fan, I root for a waaaaaaaaaay more evil team than the Yankees.

On the bright side, however, we’ve apparently had the transfer ban lifted.

  18. fostert Says:

“fostert, mate, might I point out that I say this with the deepest respect as a Mets fan,

    Go fuck yourself”

As a Yankees fan, Welcome to Yankees Baseball, you fucks. I can safely say they are the best team in history because, oh, they already were before breaking their own record in World Series wins. I’d agree that the hype of the Yankees might be a little too much. You’d think it’s weird when you see a Vietnamese guy in Dan Nang with a brand new Yankees cap, but it’s probably just a knockoff for the local market. Baseball is actually popular on TV there, and they have many leagues. But when you see on a guy with a Yankees cap in Chennai, India, it’s weird. He has no idea what baseball is, but he knows the Yankees are the best team ever.

  19. fostert Says:

“the Yankees are the best team ever.”

Actually the team that has won the most games ever is the Giants. Not the football ones, the baseball ones. But they started in New York.

  20. Antoine Says:

In the column Brooks never says he thinks Obama moved too fast on anything. Or too slowly.

But to know that you’d have to actually read the column.

Or the incredibly short stupid excerpt from the column which also doesn’t say that Brooks believes Obama moved too fast on anything.

    Does anyone read anymore?

  21. aleks Says:

What surprises me is the popularity of the name Adolf, as in I just met one under the age of 65.

  22. Adam Villani Says:

Actually the team that has won the most games ever is the Giants. Not the football ones, the baseball ones. But they started in New York.

As a Dodger fan, though, it’s nice to point out that the Giants have won as many World Series since coming to San Francisco as the Washington Nationals have. I.e., zero.

The Yankees trail in wins because they’re from the Johnny-come-lately American League, only being around since 1901 (and they were in Baltimore then, anyway).

  23. Adam Villani Says:

    Close italics

    Sorry about that.

  24. aleks Says:

It’s confusing that the Yankees were the heroes in the Civil War and WWII but the villains most of the rest of the time.

  25. Fred Says:

I’m pretty sure Matt Yglesias is smarter than Michelle Malkin. But it’s amazing how much smarter she seems on subjects like Dr. Jihad’s massacre in Texas, since Malkin is unburdened by Matt’s IQ-killing political correctness on the subject. As Malkin cogently details, this is just the latest in a series of treasonous attacks by Muslim infiltrators in the U.S. military.

  26. fostert Says:

Well Fred, you are right, but the US Army is strong enough to withstand idiot Christians like Timothy McVeigh, so I fail to how a maniac like this is going to bring them down.

  27. Don Williams Says:

All the Yankees fans out there can suck my cock. Bloomberg bought the refs, IMO.

    Go Phillies!

  28. fostert Says:

But Fred, if you really want to eliminate religions of those that have have led attacks, then there’s almost nobody left. And if you want to eliminate those religions that have done real terrorist attacks in the US, fine, but then our army would only be Taoists and about 500 soldiers at best. If you hold Islam responsible for this, then Christianity is surely responsible for everything the IRA did. Want to go there?

  29. SLC Says:

    Re Don Williams

Obviously, Mr. Williams isn’[t much of a baseball fan if he is unaware that the officials in baseball are called umpires, not referees. On the other hand, shit by any other name would stink as badly.

  30. Josh Fulton Says:

Delaware beats Switzerland as most secretive financial center

    http://joshfulton.blogspot.com/2009/11/delaware-beats-switzerland-as-most.html

  31. Greg Says:

Ah, fostert, with such reasonable, intelligent comments, it’s so easy to forget you’re an evil, evil Yankees fan.

  32. danceswithgoats Says:

I see how a “Progressive” blog works. Mass murder by a Muslim is dealt with by linking to another article about “backlash” against the Muslim community. Of course, it had nothing to do with Islam but knuckle dragging Americans will probably not understand that. I wonder if MAJ Nidal Malik Hassan/OBL and Mohammad Atta think their actions have anything to do with Islam?
