America is All Mine Now

america

I’m heading off this morning to moderate a 10:20 AM panel discussion on climate change at the Conference Formerly Known as Take Back America. So if you’re at the conference today, you should come to the panel. It’s going to be awesome.

If you’re not at the conference, then you’ll probably have some somewhat stale, pre-canned blog content this AM so let’s hope that nothing especially newsworthy happens.

  1. Why oh why Says:

moderate a 10:20 AM panel discussion on climate change

Not to belabor the point, but this progressive conference couldn’t find a more qualified moderator?

  2. SLC Says:

Mr. Yglesias should inform us as to who else is on the panel. Mr. Yglesias has no scientific credentials whatever to pontificate on this issue.

  3. SLC Says:

Ingoing to the web site linked to below, I find no evidence that any of the speakers have any expertise whatever in climate science, based on the rather brief summaries provided. This would seem to be about as authoritative as a conference session with Matt Moreno and his acolytes.

  4. Njorl Says:

I really doubt they’re going to debate the existance of climate change.

If the panel is about political strategy to bring about remediation of climate change, the “subject matter expertise” required would not be climatology, it would be politics, legislative process, grass-roots activism etc.

  5. Bosch's Poodle Says:

Matt, while you’re there, if you run into their graphics designer, please suggest they incorporate more fonts and exclamation points and colors. Thanks.

  6. myglesias Says:

    My panelists if you’re interested.

  7. Don Williams Says:

    “Kari Futon”
Well, that name certainly suggests possibilities. Hope Matthew takes her rebuttals ..er.. lying down.

  8. Don Williams Says:

Oh..”Fulton”. My mistake. Shouldn’t comment without my reading glasses.

Matthew, you might want to urge Obama to add vision care to the Healthcare plan.

No use spending $Trillions on Social Security to pander to the old farts if we can’t read the motherfucking ballots when the election rolls by.

  9. Kopotkin Says:

I for one welcome our new Yglesian overlords.
