   What I love is seeing Matt up in arms over the opponents of gay marriage, but completely ok with the President bowing to a king. And not just any king, but the king of the misogynist, gay killing Saudi Arabia.

   Symbolism mattered a lot, right up until the Republicans lost power. At which point, it became irrelevant.

   If you watch the video he’s leaning in to hear something, and he’s like a foot taller than Faud. All the rest of the people around make the same “bow”. Muslims don’t bow to humans anyway, it’s not a part of Arab protocol.

   Actually, Adam Villani, it looks like Bush was leaning forward to receive a medal (for what, I know not). Of course, Obama was leaning down to give a two handed hand shake, so it amounts to the same thing. Nothing.

Get a life and act like an adult before your children realize what an embarassment you are.

    If you didn’t spent your like kowtowing to the right-wing hate machine and mindlessly parroting their talking points, you’d get a bit more respect– as it is, everyone views you as a toady trying to suck up to your betters in the hope they’ll recommend you for country club membership. You might want to find a real job that doesn’t force you to be such a tool.

    Symbolism won us a war, but we then squandered the victory with a lack of significant photo ops from 2004-2006. We can’t afford to let that happen again. Get me my PR man! We’ve got a country to run.

    I didn’t like Bush – the last one or his father – making nice with the Saudis, either. It’s entirely possible to dislike any kowtowing to nasty regimes.
