I saw that in a FNAC, which reminded me that I wish we had FNAC in the United States. And that reminded of a semi-serious policy idea I wanted to put forward but we’ll leave that for later.
We do have FNAC in America, just instead of “participating in campaigns against exclusion, racism and censorship” Sam’s Club and Walmart practice all three of those things.
Oh, and Walmart pursues a Stalinist agenda rather than a Trotskyite one.
I used to spend hours in FNAC, reading books that I couldn’t afford due to being a dirt-poor exchange student (who’d spent all his money in the discoteca the night before).
I read the entire Akira manga series there.
Which reminds me, there’s a book by a Catalan author that dealt with an Aztec invasion of Europe, instead of the other way around. Would’ve been fun to read, but nobody bothered to translate it. There are so many interesting novels by European authors that nobody’s bothered to translate to English or make widely available (like the “Road to Jerusalem” trilogy by Jan Guillou that will run you over $100/paperback).
I guess you can read books in a FNAC, just don’t expect much room to do so in their cramped aisles, and good luck finding a chair or coffee. I really don’t miss FNACs to be frank. What’s so good about them?
The one in Madrid had a small reading room where you could sit down on terraced benches and read. Granted, it was filled up all the time, but you could read forever if you got a spot.
Badly need your help. Nothing is said that has not been said before.
I am from Central and too bad know English, please tell me right I wrote the following sentence: “Way to russia guide has partnered with the leading airlines and travel agents in usa, uk and russia to bring you the best offers for airline tickets to.”

There are actually Fnacs everywhere—but American children are indoctrinated from an early age to not see the Fnacs.

Max Théret was a much better entrepreneur than bodyguard. Poor Trotzky.

Matthew, are you dealing in Clichy’s again?

While the Fnac headquarters are in Clichy, I don’t think there are many Catalan speakers there, Max.

Why the frak would you want a FNAC in the US? Terrible customer service.

FNAC often has a great English-language book section.

Oh, I miss FNAC. Even though the one I used to hang out in in Lisbon was almost entirely underground.
