Feinstein Hearts Panetta

Dianne Feinstein now thinks Leon Panetta is just fine as CIA chief. There appears to be a tacit agreement to keep Steve Kappes on as the number two guy at the agency.

Everything’s OK then! Say, does anyone know anything about his exact relationship to the Institute for Policy Studies? I asked chez moi, but I figured there’d be more collaborationists here. Was he a member? Did he push things through beneficial to their interests? I don’t know, but that might be a good thing to look into.

Shorter Feinstein — I learned Leon stayed in a Holiday Inn last night and watched the Bourne Trilogy in HD. He’s good to go!

I wonder what Rahm Emmanuel had to say to her…

  4. Rich in PA Says:

It shouldn’t be necessary for Obama to concede anything. If Kappes supports torture then he shouldn’t be #2 or #200.

I did see her walking with a slight limp today, Ed.

    TH,

I am also walking a slight limp today. A black man loving relapse led to an anal prolapse.

I should have learned my lesson last time.

I don’t think DiFi is just fine as a committee chair or as a senator. Too bad I have nothing to say about it, I don’t live in Calfornia.

  9. Nikolas Schiller Says:

I thought you meant Mike Panetta, you know, that dude who represents you in the shadows.

off topic: BART police (Bay Area rail system) *never* ride BART trains, but ride in their police cruisers.

oh Dems, is there nothing you can’t fuck-up ?

  12. joe from Lowell Says:

I find it interesting that in the meantime, a bunch of people, including many Republicans, went on the record to support Panetta.

There are a lot of Republicans who are so far up their own asses that they actually thought Obama was going to appoint somemone like Jane Fonda or Dennis Kucinich to this position.

These people are really, really good at believing ridiculous things. I swear, KJL actually believes that half the country supported Saddam Hussein.
