The Pennsylvania Gambit II

Pennsylvania called for Obama the very moment the polls close. So much for that strategy.

The networks don’t seem to be trusting the exit polls much this time, but from what I can pick up the PA exit polls were showing Obama ahead statewide by _15%_

    Cranky

  10. Don Williams Says:

I worked as a volunteer today on GOTV for Obama. One of the stories going around this morning was that people here on the Main Line were receiving robocalls from someone impersonating Bill Clinton. The call was asking people to vote but was giving them the WRONG polling place.

They cynics were amused that the more innocent volunteers were shocked that the Republicans would do dirty tricks.

I myself was amused at the cynics for thinking that it wasn’t the Real Bill Clinton.

  11. Pandyora Says:

So much for the 2004 pact not to call early based on exit polls. They’re probably right, but have the networks not learned their lesson?

  12. Brad Says:

I am not going to rely on ABC News calling a State when quite frankly, they are calling it with 0% precincts reporting and total votes for Obama = 613 to 589 for McCain.

And lets face it, exit polls are extremely, extremely unreliable, likely more so in this situation. Why? Because as with all exit polls, younger, more enthusiastic voters likely agree to be polled, versus older more reserved voters suspicious of the media and pollsters in general.

I pray I am wrong, but I just cannot yet agree to take in the victory based on what ABC has as evidence.

Not only is McCain a big loser tonight, he is a big loser covered in his own slime. I hope he feels deeply embarrassed.
