A nitpick, but aren’t there actually nine nuclear powers, not eight?

  2. John Henninger Says:

In order for the US to build bridges with Europe it has to treat them as equal players when it comes to the Middle East and Russia. But the United States is too beholden to Eastern Europe and Israel to make any real changes of policy even in the upcoming Obama administration.

  3. Meh Says:

    Not a bad piece overall.

If you talk with officials of the EU, in many areas (trade, environment, health and safety regulation, foreign policy) they’ve spent the last few years waiting for Bush to leave, because the basic attitude of US diplomats under Bush has been not to negotiate much at all, not to even talk about much.

That’s just not friendly or productive. It’s one thing to have disagreements, it’s another to just virtually close down negotiations…

  4. ferd Says:

At this point, it feels like we need a Bridge to Anywhere At All.

  5. biostatprof Says:

Not a bad idea to build a bridge to Europe — definitely a major infrastructure project! Perhaps Nova Scotia to Ireland?

Of course, there aren’t any bridges yet to Europe and so it would be hard to rebuild something that doesn’t exist.

Linking it up with the Chunnel would be inspired.

  6. Hector Says:

    Glenn,

U.S., Russia, France, Britain, China, India, Pakistan, Israel = 8. South Africa used to have nuclear weapons but got rid of them, and the nuclear weapons stationed in Kazakh territory are, I belief, under Russian control.

  7. Sam Says:

Man, he really is improving infrastructure… repairing the bridges to Europe?? Finally.

Does anyone like this cologne? I have never tried it, and im not a fan of having testers mailed to me. In fact I don’t even want to getup and go to the store to test it. Can someone tell me if there is a review site for this? What about for all colognes? I really wish I knew about this mens cologne.
