What a doofus. It was pretty ripe to see a Giants player on ESPN this morning compare this to the death of Sean Taylor. That’s going on the Skins bulletin board for sure.
He was out of the game already, with a bad hamstring, so it doesn’t make any difference on the field for today’s game. And as a life-long, huge Jints fan, I’m starting to think it’s time to cut him lose. They’re deep enough to win without him, especially against the Redskins. I’m confident about today’s game!
It is irresistibly funny, and the fact that Stephen A. unironically referred to Burress as a “lethal weapon” on the playing field on The Sports Reporters this morning did not help matters any. But it is worth remembering that unlicensed weapons in crowded downtown areas are generally not good things.
Maybe Coughlin, instead of suspending him, should have just locked him up in the Meadowlands, only letting him out for a few lightning drives in the third quarter.
Or something else that wouldn’t allow him to continually pull stupid shit.
I’d like to think this will make a difference, but I’m pretty sure my Skins are still going to get clobbered today. Our biggest weakness (pass blocking) aligns perfectly with the Giants greatest strength (rushing the passer). I’m just hoping Jason Campbell comes through without a real injury.
First of all, Fuck the Redskins! As a Giants fan, I must say that. But this is the perfect ending for his season. When he wasn’t injured, he was missing games for showing up late for practice. And on those rare occasions when he was playing, he was dropping passes. He needed to go anyway. Now that decision is much easier. I’d say “don’t let the door hit you in the ass,” but I’d really like that door to hit him hard. Glad to see you go, you fucking dumbass. Hixon can show up for practice, stay healthy, and catch passes. I’ll take that over Burress any day.

Aren’t you from NY? Or are you a Jets fan?

I think the incident is rather disappointing.

All season long he’s been shooting himself in the foot.

He was already out for this week’s game with a football-related injury.

Reality laps metaphor. My brother and I have been complaining about the Giants’ self-inflicted wounds for years.

I always thought a bad hamstring meant no clubbing for the week….. Plaxico should have gone to the Knicks game with Matty

Fuck the Redskins. Until they change the team name to something that isn’t a vile and blatant racist slur, I hope they miss the playoffs every year.
I doubt Matt would ever say “Go Spic-Hebes!” But what’s the difference, really?

Seems unfair to wish bad things on the Redskins players who have no control over the name of the team.
