Going Rogue

Sarah Palin won’t let campaign staff end her press conference:

It’ll be interesting to see how she tries to keep her national profile up from the vantage point of Alaska.

    Or rather, “press conference”

  2. PaulC Says:

Did the McCain campaign buy her a return ticket, or have they had a sudden streak of realism?

  3. njbunker Says:

The poor staffer yelling in the background.

Gotta love the “right to privacy” argument about her vote for the Senate. Reminded me of her little mishap with Katie Couric about Roe v. Wade

We all know she is praying for Stevens to eke out a win. He’ll get expelled and then she’ll get to appoint a replacement . . . herself

  4. duBois Says:

Palin won’t wait until Birnam Wood comes to Dunsinane for her to make her move.

Palin’s SNL appearance last night should be required viewing. No folksy charm. No sing-song accent. No dropped Gs. Just an unfunny, dead-pan recitation of a too-realistic joke. Right wingers, watch your back or get in line.

  5. Craig Says:

Njbunker, that’s so perfect, it has to happen. Maybe the Senate would decline to seat her?

  6. nailin' palin Says:

    She’s goin’ rogue.

It was fucking creepy. I’m sure that Wasilla Am-Dram has already been casting around her for the Scottish Play.

  8. Adam Says:

Sadly for Njbunker and the rest of us who wish to witness such hilarity, Alaska is the only state that requires a special election instead of an appointee for Senate (due to Murkowski appointing his own daughter). She could certainly run against Begich though.

  9. alphie Says:

Palin’s slide from “Naughty Librarian” to “Horny Grandma” over the next 4 years will be painful to watch.

  10. jerri Says:

By 2/09 we will be a palin 2.0…she is going for the $’s. Watch she will have a Fox show or a radio show. The girl will buy her own $150,000 designer clothes.

  11. lmarshal@maine.rr.com Says:

What makes you think she is going back to Alaska? The Fox News spokesmodel contract will be inked by midnight.

She’s hoping Tina Fey keeps playing her on SNL.

Maybe Tina will even make a Lorne Michaels funded Sarah Palin Biopic.

Moosehuntin’ GILF! (not grandma – governor!) Coming to theaters Christmas 2009.

  13. njbunker Says:

A Palin-Bevich race would be hilarious. There would be a full scale invasion of Alaska by Democratic and Republican activists.

“Dontcha know, I think I’m gonna filibuster”

  14. rupert Says:

The FoxNews morning show will soon become “Sarah and Friends” with many drueling guests.

  15. Chris Dornan Says:

Indeed it will be interesting to see. One thing is for sure she isn’t going anywhere.

Loved njbunker’s comment; so true. Stevens has as much chance of returning as Palin has of being the VP eh.

  16. JB Says:

i think you buried the lead…

Sarah Palin held a press conference!!!!

  17. cmholm Says:

Yeah, the latest Palin SNL sketch *was* creepy, and I think the audience thought so too. Virtually silent. As I’ve claimed before, I think her star is going to fade fast.

  18. Asher Says:

If someone teaches her to stop saying ‘also’ every other sentence, she can be the 2012 nominee.

  19. dantonj Says:

“It’ll be interesting to see how she tries to keep her national profile up from the vantage point of Alaska.”

Very simple. Ted Stevens wins his senate seat, resigns, then Palin appoints herself to take his place.
