I vote for “Crooklyn” because in New York Huckabee’s absurdly over-the-top hoovering of gifts while in office (largely from folks doing business with Arkansas) would no doubt be a crime.
Mo’ Better Blues – a “please vote for us, black people” tome by Michael Steele
Jungle Fever – a biography of Barack Obama, Sr
Bamboozled – a tell-all by Colin Powell
She Hate Me – a 2008 campaign memoir by Bill Clinton
Get On the Bus – the third McCain/Salter memoir
All done for now. BTW, “She Hate Me” is the worst goddamn movie ver.

Why is this the title?
(1) Huckabee is a man of sterling principle, and he wants to remind us he always “does the right thing;” and
(2) He’s on the political right, and so he’s capitalizing a bit on the pun of doing the “Right [wing] Thing;” and
(3) He wants to pick up on whatever hip cachet there may be in using as one’s book title the name of a twenty-year-old film by a once-hip director.
I await Sarah Palin’s next book, “She’s Gotta Have It.”

Because “Deuteronomy 22:20″ would’ve been too obvious.

I feel like 25th Hour would be a more fitting post-candidacy Spike Lee title appropriation
how about bamboozled? or maybe jesus children of america?
November 20th, 2008 at 12:28 pm
Because “How to Free a Rapist-Murderer” would have been too off-putting?
November 20th, 2008 at 12:29 pm
Oh, c’mon, no-one came up with the pro-life mantra She’s Gotta Have It?

(Ah, yes, the first comment did, with a much better tagline. Though is the Bristol-Levi wedding still on?)

My problem with Huck is the feeling I keep getting from him that you can’t “do the right thing” if you’re not christian.
He doesn’t recognize the good folks outside his cult do. And that’s a political dead end.

David Benioff, not Spike Lee. Give credit where due, man.
November 20th, 2008 at 12:57 pm
Maybe Spike Lee can do a film version of Huckabee’s book.

25th Hour was a way under-noticed/appreciated movie.

Love it. Other ideas:
Rudy Giuliani – “Crooklyn”
Jeb Bush – “Inside Man”
Charlie Crist – “She Hate Me”
Mitt Romney – ??

Or “He Got Game”?
November 20th, 2008 at 1:33 pm
“Outside Man”
(I really like “Inside Man”)
