Haha. Covered endorsement? That’s an interesting slip in that we all know how secretive he can be.

  2. UncommonSense Says:

I’m surprised that McCain didn’t run on stage to tackle Cheney and stuff a sock in his mouth.

  3. ssa Says:

Take away the torture question and Cheney could easily endorse Obama, too.

Covered ? Matt, do you mean “coveted” ?

  5. TruthForce Says:

If I was endorsed by Cheney, I’d refute his endorsement immediately or just wave a white flag.

  6. Don Williams Says:

This resembles that hilarious Saturday Night Live skit of McCain trying to evade George W Bush’s endorsement while visiting the Oval Office.

  7. Dan Kervick Says:

Well, at least Cheney just bit McCain in the ass, instead of shooting him straight in the face.

This might be the edge McSlime needs to put him over the top in Arizona and Wyoming!
But why did Dick(less) wait so long? They could have grabbed a news cycle weeks ago with this bombshell!

  10. bdr Says:

Cheney snirk-horked behind his fake cough after endorsing McCain.

He is evil, like man-servant Hecubus.

  11. rapier Says:

Don’t underestimate the pump head vote.

  12. Notorious P.A.T. Says:

Wow, I’m surprised Cheney would endorse someone who voted with him only 90% of the time.

  13. castanea Says:

Wow. Cheney sure looks rosy-complected for a guy who has no blood in his veins.

  14. lest we forget Says:

Cheney, abetted by Yglesias, lead this country into a quagmire whose enduring cost will hamstring progressive policies for 15 years. It is Reagan cubed and the Village is once again chortling about the debt after years of cheerleading wars, tax cuts and corporate giveaways in the name of “Homeland Security.”

  15. Turnaround Says:

Having Dick Cheney stump for your campaign is like trying to get a date with a pretty girl by showing her your stool sample.

Your Thinkprogress blog finally passed your The Atlantic blog on the Google rankings when you search for ‘Matt Yglesias’. Treat yourself to a Fresca. You’ve earned it kid.

  17. strasmangelo jones Says:

So what’s with political Youtube clips disappearing so quickly all of a sudden?

  18. mainstreet Says:

My guess is Cheney knows McCain will lose, so this was really his endorsement for Palin in 2012.

I so, so hope I’m right. It’s just crazy enough to be true. Palin/Cheney 2012!!!

  19. chat Says:

    Thanks
