In case you were ever wondering whether guys who pilot boats for a living have big white beards even when their boats are on Lake Geneva rather than the icy waters of New England:

I’ve had a beard, big ones and smaller ones, since high school. It’s getting speckled white here and there now, and I long for the day when it’s turned full white, and I can apply for a boat pilot position!

That’s a pretty small white beard.
It is, however, a full beard. Today it seems as if goatees are far more common than full beards. It may therefore be not inaccurate to speak of any full beard as a large beard.

I remember going sailing down in the Caribbean as a boy scout, and our captain had the exact same beard as one of those salty dog sailor kitsch statues.
I think it’s a requirement once you get a pilot’s license.

I thought Lake Geneva was in Wisconsin…
Chopped my full beard down to a goatee about 10 years ago to look “younger” but if my hair would go white I’d go back to the full beard again….. but who cares? So how does Obama look with a beard??
