    hope you’re not doing slots.

  2. Jeff Greco Says:

Well, under our new plan, we’ll only buy out the gambling losses you incurred, but feel free to hold onto the fruits of your successful wagers.

  3. ali eteraz Says:

i like what a commenter at drum’s said

From each who has the most need.
To each who had the most greed.

is this an old adage that i just discovered.

  4. Dan Says:

If you bet a few billion and would take the casinos down with you, then you’d get a bailout. Oh wait, the casinos aren’t run by friends of Paulson.

  5. ResumeMan Says:

Dude, aren’t you a poker player? You haven’t dropped 5 Benjamins at the poker tables have you?

Tell me you’re not playing purely -EV games like the slots!?!?

Sheesh, I hope you got a nice raise when you moved to CAP. We must be overpaying our bloggers these days…

  6. Dick Durata Says:

    “I can haz bailout?”
    Double down, baby, it’ll win.
    Or not.
    Rinse and repeat.

I played two poker tournaments at $45 each and won neither. The rest was lost at the blackjack tables.

  8. Petey Says:

    Play craps.

Bet “Pass” or “Don’t Pass” at a low stakes table, bet the minimum, and if things get beyond the first roll, back up with as much “Odds” as is allowed. (Ask.)

You’ll be getting as close to a 50/50 bet as you can get at a casino.

Plus, you’ll get to roll the dice every so often.

Why am I getting part of my political and sports and music (ok, I ignore the music) analysis from someone with such poor judgment?

  10. gartj Says:

    Matty,
Head to the sportsbook. Ask for a drf. You’re a horseplayer, Matt – you just don’t know it yet.

  11. Richard Steven Hack Says:

Hah! I TOLD YOU to read a book on point-counting, or get some training at the “training table” before playing blackjack!

See, you never listen to me and now you’re $500 poorer for it!

    Numbnuts.

  12. Joseph Nobles Says:

    No, you cannot haz bailout.

    Bailout: Not Yours.

  13. saifedean Says:

You’re nowhere near irresponsible enough to qualify for a bail-out.

Try losing all your family’s money and assets, and then you might have a chance.
