   As a Minnesotan, I just want to point out that it’s Nicollet (rather than “Nicollette”) Mall. Named for Joseph Nicollet, who mapped the Upper Mississippi.

   As Pat says, it’s Nicollet, but as a Wisconsinite, I will note that Minnesotans don’t have a clue how to pronounce French words and pronounce it as if it were spelled “Nicollette”. So Matt’s confusion is perfectly understandable.

   I assumed it had something to do with either Nicolette Larson (Neil Young backup singer who had a string of minor country-ish radio hits in the late 70s) or Nicolette Sheridan (about whom the less said the better.)
