Not good. Heidi Shierholz has an issue brief here.

  1. Bob Oso Says:

Got an “economic snapshot” of how many tax payer dollars were used to backstop private insurance companies in Sept. 07 and in Sept. 08? Or the average 401k returns for “small town” America?

  2. Adrock Says:

    Not good.

That’s an understatement. My Dad lost his job 2 months ago. Thankfully the state of MA offers fairly decent unemployment benefits. A result of the “most liberal state in America” folks and we’re thanking our lucky stars. If he lived in NH, he would be eligible for only $100 a week.

  3. Oracle Says:

Don’t you mean a deteriorating job market situation?

Seems to me the labor market is pretty flush right now.

  4. Mike Says:

“Not good.” For jobseekers. Not so bad for wagepayers, however.

  5. But But But Says:

Somebody needs to informed all the unemployed not to worry. E. O’Neal says we produce $45,000 per person good and services, thus they have nothing to worry about. Similarly, if their house has just been forclosed, if they’ve recently taken a hit on their 401k/IRA’s, if they can’t drive to and from work because the cost of gas is so high….they should not worry.

    E. O’Neal is teh smart.
